Early voting starts Monday in Bowie, Miller counties

Early voting begins Monday for Bowie and Miller County elections, including three Texarkana, Ark., city board spots. Only two positions are poised to change in November, as Sue Johnson in Ward 6 is unopposed.

Incumbent Shirley Bradley is being challenged for Ward 2 by Dwayne Hall and Laney Harris. Ruth Penney Davis is running against Ward 1 Director Kathy Dunphy.

Votes can be cast at the Miller County Courthouse, 400 Laurel St. in Texarkana, Ark., between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. That county’s early voting will end Nov. 3 at 5 p.m.

Early voting for Bowie County elections ends Oct. 31. Voting locations are the Bowie County Courthouse, 710 James Bowie Drive in New Boston, and the Bi-State Justice Building in downtown Texarkana.
